The Distant Relative!
It’s ok to be the distant relative. I’m her & she is me!
When you fight so many battles alone & come out of it alone, you become accustomed.
You realize that all you need is for God to be by your side and to keep moving forward.
Being the distant relative allowed me to grow and shift my mindset. It allowed me to unlearn things I was conditioned to.
Sometimes our upbringing conditions us to think and accept things we shouldn’t.
Being the distant relative is normal, regardless of what society says.
And there’s Nothing wrong with being the distant relative and being mindful of who’s in your inner circle.
I hold no grudge or ill feelings—some folks just like being in their own bubble, and I’am folks.
I love to move to the beat of my own drum! I love my peace and the life I built outside of extended family.
It’s all love. There’s no shame or harm in being the distant relative.
